Tomica Limited Vintage - Diorama

Here are more photos of the Honda TV-N Truck, Nissan Violet and the Hino Fire Engine in a street crossing diorama set (Tomy Town Playset) by Tomica. This setup will show how each TLV model is proportional to one another since all TLV models are in 1/64 scale.

Sorry if the photos are not well lit since this setup does not fit inside my photo-booth. Anyway, hope you enjoy these photos as I enjoyed taking them. =)

TLV-N15 Honda TN-V Truck

This Honda TN-V Truck is categorized as a Japanese Mini Truck. They are commonly referred to as Kei Trucks. They are mini trucks that are used regularly in Japan for a variety of duties. From warehouse deliveries, to working on farms. These little trucks are quite impressive. These little wonders are imported into other countries for their decent cargo capacity.

The rear canvass type cover provides comfort of being in an enclosed cab to keep nasty dust, dirt and weather out while they remain dry and comfortable inside.

TLV-68 Subaru Sambar Pumper

The Subaru Sambar is an automobile built by automaker Subaru for the Japanese market. It is Japan's first Keitora, which means "kei class truck" and is still in production. The Sambar is available in both microvan and Kei truck (Pickup truck style) to fulfill the Kei car guidelines. Still flourishing in the Japanese automotive industry, the Sambar continues to be produced in Japan, China, Korea, as well as in Finland with a joint venture with Elcat Automotive.

The name "Sambar" comes from a deer native to India commonly used to carry small loads.

Since its introduction, the Sambar has used a rear engine, rear wheel drive format (with optional 4WD from 1980 on), with the first two generations using the air-cooled engine from the Subaru 360, and later generations using the water cooled engine from the Subaru Rex, Vivio and the Pleo.

The current 2008 Subaru Sambar model is still using the Sixth Generation chassis and body with updated fascia. It was the first Kei truck in Japan that used a cabover design, with the passenger cabin over the engine.

What did I get today?

I got a new casting from Tomica the other day, a Toyota Town Ace pickup truck!
I never knew that Toyota produced this Town Ace in a pickup truck variant, I was only familiar with the Town Ace Van. Anyway, here are a few photos of the Town Ace.
